Excitingly, we've made friends with the guys that run the coolest hostel in Kitzbuhel in Austria. This is great news for several reasons; Kitzbuhel is such a cool town combining sophistication with tradition and home to the most famous ski race in the world, it is also part of Austria's largest ski area - The Ski Welt. Kitzbuhel has so much to offer from traditional Austrian sledging to the all important and famous Austrian aprés ski... LOVE it!!

The Hostel

The Roomie Alps Hostel opened in 2019 and feels bright, airey and modern throughout. the team there are super friendly, laid back and is exactly the vibe we look for at HOFNAR.

The rooms are for 8 or 10 people, but they are large and each bed has privacy curtains, a light, usb point and lockable storage.

The hostel has a large kitchen, communal area and its own bar.! Errmazin :)

It's also bang in the middle of town - perfect.

Soon you will be able to book a stay at Roomie via HOFNAR for any stay all year round... However we currently have two trips lined up where one of the HOFNAR hosts will be there and it's going to be ACE.

16 - 23 Jan, This is THE week to be in Kitzbuhel and beds are like rocking horse doodoo. The most famous downhill ski race in the world, the Hahnenkamm, happens on the last Sunday of our trip. The town will be electric!

5 - 12 Mar, As Kitzbuhel starts heading into spring... the ski day is longer, typically we eat (and drink) more outside, it's like being in a fairytale!

Austria is going to be brilliant and particularly for those who are looking to try other ski resorts, obvs our hearts are in Morzine, but the Tyrolean part of the alps are magical; the food is different, the vibe is different and some of the chairlifts have heated seats!!

The prices here are bed & breakfast. Last time we had a deal with a restaurant in town and did dinner on the cheap, we're hoping to do that again this time, obvs we'll keep you posted.
